As you can see the trip provided us with lots of wonderful things to see along the side of the railway tracks. From temples to Buddha statues built into the hillsides, giant gold monkey statues and Khmer style temples overrun with monkeys, it was quite the visual feast. The train even had to stop once for the water buffalo who were making an unscheduled crossing and seemed rather put out about a train interfering with their lazy walk.
