Doi Suthep is a beautiful temple on top of a mountain overlooking the city of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand. After a long winding drive up the mouton you also need to climb a long staircase to reach the temple. Since the temple is in use by monks, strict dress codes must be maintained and women must cover their shoulders and legs. If you don't have the appropriate clothes with you there is usually somewhere to borrow them before you can go in, and as always, you must remove your shoes before entering the temple.
